Twice World Heavyweight Boxing Champion,
World's Most Famous Salesman, Gentleman, Minister, and Lover of
Horses, George Foreman, has, upon the recommendation of members
Don Bell, John Lewis, and Craig Stripling joined NWHA.
Not everyone knows that Foreman is a great
and long time fan of gaited pleasure horses. Even though he lives
on the outskirts of Houston, he keeps a handful of riding mounts
at his home.
His ranch in the Pineywoods of
East Texas is home to several dozen horses of all kinds. While
George likes to attend shows, his first love is trail riding on
his naturally gaited pleasure Walking Horses or on his
single-footing rackers. Rare is the week that he hasn't gotten on
and off a jet airplane four or five times; so the first thing he
does when he lands is hug and ride a good gaited four beating
horse.

The Champ appreciates what NWHA stands
for, and he's looking forward to meeting more of the members.
John and Craig regularly enjoy riding the trails with him in
the beautiful East Texas woods, and they, along with all of us
who know him and appreciate all the good and moral things he
stands for, welcome George Foreman to our organization.
(Note from Don Bell) - NWHA
member Craig Stripling is the person that introduced me to
George Foreman. In a phone conversation with George, after he
became a member of the NWHA, he said to me, I am very pleased
to be a member of the National Walking Horse Association. I
have several breeds of horses but naturally gaited horses are
special to me. I think it is great that the National Walking
Horse Association is promoting the naturally gaited Walking
Horse and I look forward to being associated with such a
wonderful group of people.
