NWHA-TWHBEA Joint Press Release 

Versatile Tennessee Walking Horse Earns Joint Recognition By Industry Leaders   

     Walking Horse enthusiasts are proud of their many faceted, gaited equine and enjoy showcasing its talents in the ring and on the trail.  Embracing the spirit of competition and the love of the Walking Horse, industry leaders, the National Walking Horse Association (NWHA) and the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association (TWHBEA), have joined in promoting the versatile Walking Horse by reciprocally recognizing each other’s versatility show rules. Through a joint resolution, NWHA and TWHBEA will reciprocally honor each organizations respective versatility rules for 2008 show point calculations.

                                                            JOINT RESOLUTION 

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Walking Horse is one of America’s natural treasures; and 

WHEREAS, the National Walking Horse Association (hereinafter NWHA) is dedicated     to the promotion of the natural abilities of the Walking Horse; and  

WHEREAS, the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association (hereinafter TWHBEA) is devoted to the promotion of the Tennessee Walking Horse breed; and  

WHEREAS, Walking Horse enthusiasts are proud of this versatile, gaited equine; and 

WHEREAS, both the NWHA and the TWHBEA desire to showcase the versatility of the breed; and 

WHEREAS, the NWHA and the TWHBEA, jointly, embrace the spirit of competition with their passion for the Walking Horse;  

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the NWHA and the TWHBEA shall jointly promote the versatility of the Walking Horse through the reciprocal recognition of each of the associations Versatility Show Rules as if they were their own; 

THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, for the 2008 show season, the NWHA and the TWHBEA shall reciprocally accept, without hesitation, either the NWHA or the TWHBEA Versatility Show Rules for show point calculations; 

THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the NWHA and the TWHBEA shall continue to pursue reciprocal efforts to promote the natural abilities of the Walking Horse breed.
