NWHA is certified
by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a Horse Industry
Organization (HIO) and offers technical support, thorough
inspections to assure that every horse is in full compliance
with the federal Horse Protection Act, and a roster of judges
who are committed to fair judging with an understanding of the
true gaits of the Walking Horse. This horse show affiliation
program is available to show management at a competitive cost.
With the 2004
implementation of a Breed Tracking Registry, with show
affiliates from New Jersey to California, Michigan to Texas, and
with the success of the Annual National Championship Horse
Shows, NWHA offers a bright future for the Walking Horse breed.
