NWHA Youth/4-H Horse Project
Achievement Award.
This program is open to any NWHA youth member who
participates in their state's 4-H horse program and uses a
gaited horse or mule as their project animal in 2008. Each
participant must exhibit that horse or mule in their
state's 4-H District or State Championship Horse Show in
2008 and complete and return the application. All
participants and their horses will be recognized at the
NWHA Championship show where they will be presented with
their award--a NWHA duffle bag with their horse's name
embroidered on it! Please email

Scholarship Opportunities:
Neil Clark Youth Memorial Scholarship Award
Offered to two different age groups of
current NWHA Youth members; 12 and under and 13-17 as of
January 1st, 2008. One youth from each age group will get the
chance to earn a $250.00 cash scholarship. Please check out
the Oct/Nov 2006 issue of The National News for a
wonderful article on Mr.
Clark. Details and deadlines for this scholarship will be
posted on this website soon so check back often.

MoonWalker Memorial Veterinarian Scholarship
Applicant must be a current NWHA member who is enrolled in or
currently in a pre-vet or vet school program.
Applicant must submit an essay (worth 50 points), current high
school and college transcript (worth 20 points), personal
reference letter from teacher (worth 20 points), and personal
reference letter from a person of applicants choosing (worth
10 points).

"How can I make a difference by being a veterinarian?" |

are a NWHA youth member and like trail riding you could be the
High Mile Youth Rider for 2008. Check out the "Trail Rider
Program" page on the NWHA website for details and entry forms.
